Examination of conscience
Preparation for the sacrament of reconciliation
A full examination of conscience arranged by the ten commandments and by the five parts of the sacrament of reconciliation. A checklist goes with it: tick through it as you prepare, and it records the date of your last confession on your profile.
What it gives you
A chapter per commandment
Thirteen chapters, each with questions that genuinely help — not a generic list of sins.
A checklist that stays
Ticks remain saved on your device after you save, and you can clear them whenever you want.
The date of your last confession
Once saved, your profile shows when you last confessed, so you can see how long it has been.
It stays with you
What you tick is kept on your device alone — the list of sins never reaches our servers.

Examining your conscience before confession
A good confession begins with a thorough examination of conscience. That is why the first and largest part follows the ten commandments, with separate chapters on the sacraments, love of neighbour and the capital sins — each with questions that guide the reflection.
The remaining four parts follow the sacrament itself: sincere contrition, the resolve to sin no more, the confession, and the penance. All sins are to be disclosed sincerely before the priest, and good preparation makes that far easier.
A checklist of thirty-eight items goes with the examination. The ticks are kept on your device alone and stay saved after you save; you can clear them whenever you want. The only thing that reaches the server is the date of the confession, which then shows on your profile.
Frequently asked
Does the list of my sins reach the server?
No. What you tick stays on your device alone. Only the date of your last confession is stored on the server.
How many questions does the examination have?
Thirteen chapters of questions arranged by the ten commandments, plus chapters on the sacraments, love of neighbour and the capital sins.
Can I clear what I ticked?
Yes. Clearing the checklist is a separate action, and nothing is cleared by itself when you save.
Where do I see the date of my last confession?
On your profile, as soon as you save. The checklist opens from there too.
