Prayer reminder
So the day does not pass without prayer
Choose a prayer and a time, and Holymeet reminds you — the Divine Mercy Chaplet at three, the Angelus at noon, an examination of conscience before bed. The notification arrives even when the app is closed.
What it gives you
Arrives with the app closed
Reminders come as push notifications on the lock screen, so they do not depend on you remembering to open the app.
The prayer is right there
The notification carries the prayer itself from the prayer book — open it and pray, no searching.
As many as you need
Set one reminder or four through the day, each with its own time and its own prayer.
Switch on and off freely
Each reminder has a toggle — turn it off in a hard week and back on later, without deleting it.
A sample — reminders set
This is a display. Setting reminders and receiving them works inside the app.
Regular prayer through the day
We rarely skip prayer on purpose — the day simply goes by. Traditional devotion solved that with a bell: the Angelus at noon, the Divine Mercy Chaplet at three, the examination of conscience in the evening. The prayer reminder does the same with a phone.
For each reminder you pick a time and a prayer from the prayer book. At the appointed time a notification arrives carrying the text of the prayer — not just a nudge but the prayer itself, ready to be prayed.
Reminders are delivered as push notifications, so they work with the app closed, on Android and on iPhone once Holymeet is added to the home screen. If notifications are not permitted, the app says so plainly and explains how to enable them.
The most commonly set times are three in the afternoon for the Divine Mercy Chaplet, noon for the Angelus and the evening for the examination of conscience — but the schedule is yours and you change it whenever you like.
Frequently asked
Do reminders work when the app is closed?
Yes. They are sent as push notifications, so they arrive with Holymeet closed — you only have to allow notifications once.
Do they work on iPhone?
Yes, provided Holymeet is added to the home screen. Apple only allows web apps to send push notifications once installed that way.
How many reminders can I have?
As many as you need. Each has its own time and prayer, and each is switched on and off separately.
Can anyone see what I pray for?
No. Reminders are visible only to you and never appear on your profile or anywhere else.
