Fun gatherings
Fellowship that needs no occasion
Not every gathering is a prayer or a pilgrimage. Coffee after Mass, a board game evening, a barbecue by the lake — the places where a community relaxes and people actually get to know each other.
What you get
An easier first step
Turning up for coffee with fifteen people is far easier than arranging a date with one stranger.
Organising without the hassle
Post the date, place and description; others mark that they are coming and you know the headcount.
Company that understands you
The same faith and the same values, so you never explain why Sunday morning is taken.
A safe setting
Profiles are verified, events are approved, and the contact details of those signed up are seen only by the organiser.
What it looks like
Coffee after Sunday Mass
Sunday, 11am, the café across from the church. No sign-up, just come and sit down.
Board game evening
Friday at 7pm. Bring a game if you have one, tea and biscuits are on us.
Barbecue with a guitar
Saturday afternoon by the lake. Worship with a guitar once it gets dark.
These are invented examples. Real gatherings, sign-ups and comments open inside the app.
Christian gatherings and meetups
Community is not built in the pews alone. Most friendships start after Mass — over coffee, a barbecue or a board game evening — when the conversation flows by itself and nobody has to be introduced.
That is why Holymeet has a board for gatherings. Posting takes a minute: a title, the date and time, the place, a short description and a photo if you like. Others mark themselves as going or maybe, and the comments underneath handle the small arrangements — who brings what, where exactly you meet.
For believers who have moved to a new city or live abroad, this is the fastest way into a circle of friends. Instead of waiting for an invitation, they simply sign up for the first gathering nearby.
Every post is reviewed by an admin, and the details you leave when signing up are visible only to the organiser and an admin, for coordination. Everyone else only sees that you are coming.
Frequently asked
Do I need to know someone to come?
No. Most people come alone — the gatherings exist precisely so that people who did not know each other can meet.
Who organises the gatherings?
The members themselves. Anyone can post one, and the post goes through a short admin review before it becomes visible.
Is there an age limit?
Holymeet is for adults, eighteen and over. The organiser can state in the description who a gathering is meant for.
What if I sign up and cannot make it?
You can withdraw at any time, so the organiser keeps an accurate headcount.
